The 21^st century faced unprecedented challenges due to COVID-19 pandemic across the globe. Pakistan is among those countries adapted effective strategies to tackle this pandemic successfully. Pakistan introduced new way and means including the smart lock down methodology keeping in mind the poorest people who faced greater challenges due to hunger rather than this pandemic.

WSSC D.I.Khan has joined the massive efforts being carried out by the government, local communities and humanitarian organizations to control the spread of the pandemic in District D.I.Khan through a context-centered approach with a special focus on vulnerable communities.

 Main interventions carried out during this period include designing awareness campaigns and posters for general public awareness, disinfection sprays in targeted Union Councils busy places and waste management materials disposal. Organize and facilitated health, hygiene and Covid 19 prevention sessions to protect communities from the spread of this pandemic.
