Water Waste Management
Water Waste management means that water must be clean enough so that it can be used by people for drinking and washing, and by industry for commercial purposes. It is a process used to remove contaminants from wastewater or sewage and convert it into an effluent that can be returned to the water cycle with acceptable impact on the environment, or reused for various purposes.
The goal of wastewater management is to clean and protect water. To achieve this goal we adapt waste water treatment strategy which includes physical water treatment, biological water treatment, chemical treatment, and sludge treatment. These different treatments help us to protect the health of many different ecosystems. Good wastewater treatment allows the maximum amount of water to be reused instead of going to waste.
Pakistan is among those countries trying to reduce water waste and expressed commitment to adapt good waste water practices to make water reusable after proper treatment.
WSSC D.I.Khan is committed to promote and adapt practices which can reduce water waste by introducing treatment plants and macro and micro levels.
